We’ve been warning about the impact of GPS/GNSS location service interruptions and now we’re seeing growing service denial in metropolitan areas. oneNav remains the only company in the world that offers a solution proven to work in L1-jammed jammed environment protecting consumers from GPS interruptions.

Severe Impact on Consumers in Israel

In Israel, where precision agriculture has taken over a big part of the labor, farmers must re-learn how to plow the fields without GPS. The residents of Haifa experienced spoofing firsthand when their navigation apps kept positioning them in Beirut airport. In tests conducted by oneNav on heavily spoofed streets in Haifa, all receivers in leading consumer devices failed to provide accurate location information, while L5-direct maintained accurate positioning.

26 million Lives Interrupted in Seoul

GPS jamming provocations in the Yellow Sea have affected numerous civilian vessels and dozens of flights in South Korea. Despite official calls by the South Korean Joint Chief of Staffs and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to cease GPS manipulation, North Korea continues to execute and extend jamming toward the Seoul Metropolitan Area where 26 million civilians reside. Add 30 million tourists that visit Seoul annually to that number and jamming consequences ripple through all consumer-facing parts of the economy. Can we prevent those consequences?

L5-band GPS expected to become fully operational in 2025
Help is on the way from the U.S. Space Force, which launched the 18th GPS L5 satellite on December 16th.  The launch, plus the expected July completion of the Next Generation Operational Control System (OCX) upgrade for GPS, will allow the Space Force to declare the GPS L5 constellation healthy.

We offer a proven solution

oneNav’s L5-direct solution has been proven to work in Haifa’s real life spoofing conditions. The effectiveness of L5-direct lies in a revolutionary architecture that allows the receiver to utilize solely L5-band GNSS signals, eliminating reliance on the legacy L1 signals, which are the primary targets of modern jamming and spoofing techniques.  L5-direct will be available in silicon in early summer 2025.
